Dak's stomach rumbled, waking him up from his uneasy sleep. He stood up and looked around to see the place he and Flara spent the night at. It was simply a clump of trees casting shadow on a half-dried up murky pool. His friend was lying nearby, and for a little while, Dak was not quite sure if she was still alive. He trotted next to her, and noticed she was still asleep, which he connected with the wound she revelaed to him yesterday. Careful not to wake her up, he walked around her to check her left hindleg.
